It had been more than three years since I had done any welding, so I decided to finally try TIG welding this kinetic flapping wing sculpture that I had bought from Molten Metal Works at the start of the pandemic.
Unfortunately I was badly out of practice and I melted several key small parts, so I decided to order some welding practice dice from Amazon instead. Some of those were pretty rough as well, although by the end I was starting to get back into the flow. TIG welding, I’m sorry to say, is not like riding a bicycle, at least not in my case. I also tried welding a large aluminum 6-sided die, but that was a pretty ugly disaster too.
