In January 2017, I built a display case to showoff some of the random electronics and CNC projects I had made over the past five years. It is 3/4″ poplar painted with blue chalk paint to match the other cabinets in our living room. I originally intended the openings to be modular, but found I needed to glue them in place to get the rigidity I wanted.
The shelf was inspired by the curiosity cabinet in the salon set of the first season of Mental Floss.
